week: long or short?

so this weekend i had a lot of fun rekindling old friendships and dedicating some time to "newer" ones. but as with all weekends, if you're having fun they are definitely going by too fast. you'd think the opposite would be true of the weekdays when you aren't having fun. after this week, i'm not completely sure.

this week i have been super busy, to the edge of breaking from the exhaustion. the words go, go, go, come to mind. thankfully right now i have a few moments of relief before teaching my class at penn college (spending that time writing is the only way to keep myself from falling over in a trance). i wouldn't say the week is going by fast, because i have been ready for the weekend since monday around 9am, but the days themselves are going by fast. if that makes sense.

on monday, a half hour before i usually leave work, i begged a co-worker to actually set back the clocks an hour (he wouldn't - said everyone else might like the fact they only had a half-hour left of work). all week has been like that...too much to do and too little time to do it in. and yet i can still grimace while making the statement, "it's only thursday"
