a slight disappointment leads to something marvelous...

yesterday i was kind of bummed to find out that our post office closes at 4:30, cuz that meant i had to hold onto a package (that i had been attempting for some time to get rid of) for another day.

therefore, today just before lunch i found myself driving into bloomsburg to visit the post office and rid myself of the pkg. as i came out of the post office, it occurred to me that i had put a quarter in the meter, so i might as well pick up lunch in town while the car was thus happily situated. while walking across the street to la fontana, i noticed the beauty of the day...not chilly at all! anyway, i picked up my pizza and started back for my car with the full intention of eating my lunch in the office - my recent workload doesn't play well with the word "lunchbreak" . somewhere during that walk of a block and a half, the sun peeked out of the clouds and i fell in love with the idea of eating outside (screw the pile of work on my desk). tons of options came to mind, but none quite as tempting as driving down to the park...once there, i sat on a piece of playground equipment, eating my pizza and basking in the remnants of sunhine.

it wasn't as warm as when the sun had been showing off its glory, but i decided to stick it out and enjoy the outdoors. sadly, after my first piece of pizza i could stay no longer, for as i listened to the sounds of nature, nature called me personally. :)

it was nice while it lasted. and hey, had i not had to go to the post office, i would have never seen the sun!
