hack's last stand

yesterday as i was sitting at my desk (i was even doing work) i got bombarded with rubberbands zipping around my head and computer. some of my "friends" from work got together and decided a great send-off would be a rubberband fight - they were right! 1:3 isn't the greatest odds, but i feel i did a good job thwarting their attack. my last rubberband fight as a full-time employee of keystone national high school :(

i am looking forward to teaching at danville high school in the fall, but i have to be honest: i am going to miss the people i worked with and taking part in their conversations and fun. my song buddy: who would break out into song at the exact moment i would after hearing any given phrase - ironically, her name is betsy. the nerd herd: who would often get into conversations/debates about movies, music and more. lady fauntleroy: who would always be talking about some guy or other...wondering when she should make her move. mother: who can crack a person up just by telling a true story about her family. and oh so many more...

we did work quite hard, really - i know it must seem like nothing of merit gets done there! :)
